New reports are coming out that Instagram is working on a feature that would allow users to add music to their profiles.

Instagram is now apparently working on a new feature: adding songs to your profile. It doesn’t appear to be something people are asking for but it’s coming anyway.

Mobile developer and reverse app engineer Alessandro Paluzzi recently shared his findings on Twitter, which he found after combing through the platform’s latest development code.

The update appears to allow you to pick a song to add to your profile, something that could represent who you are, your current mood, or your favorite song at the moment. This feature would be similar to MySpace’s ability to add songs.

Outside of new developments, Instagram has had a few glitches in recent months that have frustrated users. One such glitch was people repeatedly seeing the same stories despite having already cycled through them.

On Wednesday, June 15th, Instagram released patch 239.1. The update’s patch notes were brief, and read, “The latest version contains bug fixes and performance improvements.” While there were no specifics regarding the stories bug, users reported the patch resolved the issue.

“My @instagram stories keep repeating themselves. Like whenever someone posts a new story it makes me watch the whole thing all over again. Is that a problem for anyone else or is mine being weird. I tried logging out and deleting the app but it didn’t work.”

Another user said, “Can’t watch Instagram stories for a couple of days without getting a bit annoyed. They keep repeating themselves, and seems like it’s a platform issue? Is anyone else facing the same issue or is it just me? @instagram #Instagram #InstagramStories

Instagram has yet to comment on the adding of their new leaked feature to add songs.
