What’s going on with this year’s Big Brother Australia contestants? It’s been reported that not one but two (that we know of) contestants had secret partners in the outside world.

According to a So Dramatic! source, returning housemate Anthony Drew, best known as just “Drew”, had a secret girlfriend while filming season 14 of the reality show.

The poor girl, reportedly called Kristen, must have not believed her eyes when she then saw Drew getting very close with Sam Manovski in the BB house. Drew and Kristen had allegedly been dating for two years before filming started, so this wasn’t just a harmless little fling.

Not that Drew’s owning up to his actions though – he reportedly “blamed producers” for his hookup with Sam, insisting the they’d “manipulated him to do it.” You honestly wouldn’t put it past a reality TV show’s production team.

And according to another So Dramatic! source, the aforementioned Sam also had a secret partner on the outside while filming began!

She was apparently in a relationship with a coworker she met while working at the same cafe. The insider revealed that Sam told her co-star Melanie Todd that she wasn’t looking for a BB romance “because she had a boyfriend on the outside.”

That certainly didn’t last long. “Drew walked in and she never spoke of the boyfriend again,” the insider added. So a good rule of thumb if you’re going on a huge reality show, then, is to go into the show single. Looking at you, Bryce Ruthven.

After all the cheating, after all the fighting, Big Brother’s latest season is almost at an end. The finale week is set to take place next week, with the returning Regina “Reggie” Bird the favourite to win the series. Even before season 14 first aired, she was the favourite with the normally reliable Sportsbet to win the whole thing.

Bird won the show back in 2003, and even popular housemate and return participant Tim Dormer proclaimed her the ‘Queen of Big Brother’. If she does indeed triumph, she’ll make history as the first ever two-time winner of Big Brother Australia.
