Ask Jamie Lee Curtis if she would be down for a Freaky Friday sequel with Lindsay Lohan, and the answer is a resounding yes.
Ask Jamie Lee Curtis whether she’d be down for a sequel to Freaky Friday, and the answer would be a resounding yes. While speaking to fans ahead of the release of Halloween Ends in New Mexico, Curtis said that she would love to reunite with Lindsay Lohan for a sequel to the pair’s 2003 feature Freaky Friday.
During the chat, Curtis opened up about how her and Lohan have stayed in touch since their on-screen team up.
“Lindsay Lohan and I are friends…. Lindsay Lohan and I text. She texted me the other day, she’s in Ireland making [Irish Wish],” Curtis told fans.
“Anyway, Freaky Friday remake? Absolutely.” she then added.
Curtis has long been a vocal supporter of Freaky Friday, calling it one of the more fulfilling experiences of her illustrious careers. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she recalled having a great time working with Lohan.
“Freaky Friday was a fabulous movie, also very freeing creatively,” she told EW. “You know, being a teenager again, it was super fun. I had a good time with Lindsay. She was terrific.”

Although, Curtis admitted, she does have a weird way of confirming whether she’s not being catfished by someone pretending to be Lohan every time she speaks to the latter on the phone.
“The test for her was, ‘What was the song that you and I were trying to learn the rap [that’s] in the middle of the song while we were sitting in the car doing the scene while we were eating French fries?'” Curtis told fans at the event. The answer to that is ‘Like I Love You’ by Justin Timberlake, which she claimed she and Lohan listened to on the set of the movie.
