A Scottish woman made quite the holy discovery after purchasing a sack of potatoes at her local ALDI store that she claimed were #blessed with “the face of Jesus”

Nikki Halkerston, 44, was shopping for dinner at her local ALDI in the town of Dundee, Scotland, when she spotted what looked like Jesus Christ staring back at her from within the plastic bag.

For confirmation, she called her husband over who she said agreed that the vegetable did indeed resemble the religious figure.

“As soon as I put the packet on the kitchen top I saw it,” Nikki Halkerston told Metro.

“I was staring at it and it was just quite obvious it was Jesus’ face…” the enlightened shopper said, adding, “I’ve seen stories before about people finding Jesus in their food but I can never usually see it. This was just so obviously him.”

“I called my husband into the kitchen and he’s usually really sceptical about these sort of things. He never gets over-excited about anything but even he agreed it looked like Jesus!”

While previous bearers of food that resembles the Son of God chose to cash in their findings on eBay (remember the Jesus toast?) Nikki had a different plan in mind for her holy spud.

“I’ve eaten it now,” she added.

2020 is truly wild, my friends.

It’s certainly not the first time someone has found a famous face in their meal (in fact, there’s a whole Wikipedia page dedicated to the phenomena), with people claiming they’ve spotted the Virgin Mary in a 10-year-old grilled cheese sandwich, Elvis in an oddly shaped potato chip and Jesus in fish sticks, naan bread, tacos, a Kit Kat wafer, pizza and Cheetos.
