Okay, so the good news is that we’re receiving another Jackass instalment.

The bad news is that Jackass’ Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville have been hospitalised as a result of an on-set incident, after only two days of filming Jackass 4.

Throwing it back to 2018, around the time that Knoxville was doing promo for his comedy film Action Point, he told EW that another Jackass movie was possible. “It’s not like we’re saying no. If we did do a new one, we’d have to bring in some new younger guys – just to bring some fresh blood into it. But it’s possible.”

Now in 2020, that possibility is being transformed into a reality. And thanks to a video posted online by the group’s own, Bam Margera, he’s confirmed that they’re off to a ‘running’ start.

In the selfie video he says, “The second day of filming Jackass and already Steve-O and Knoxville are hospitalised by jumping on a full speed treadmill with band equipment, like a fucking tuba.”

Jackass 4 comes in as the group’s first Jackass delivery in around 10 years, with Jackass 3 having been released in 2010.

In that same EW interview in 2018, when asked about another Jackass instalment, Knoxville said, It’s a comedy, but a few of my friends and family members are over that part of it. I totally understand where they’re coming from. I’ve been doing this for so long, it’s kind of tough to stop. I gotta take care of myself, but God, I don’t want to stop. Am I sick?”

He also went on to say, “If we did Jackass 4, I would commit. But I may need to give my family a break for a second.”

Right now further details for the film are on the down low. But if Knoxville’s 2018 words are anything to go by, we should prepare for something a little different. We just have to wait until they’re released from hospital.
