Actor Kevin Clark, who played drummer Freddy ‘Spazzy McGee’ Jones in Richard Linklater’s 2003 comedy School of Rock has died. He was 32.

As TMZ report, Kevin Clark was riding his bicycle in Chicago’s Northwest early Wednesday morning when he was fatally struck by a Hyundai Sonata. He was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced at 2:04 a.m. local time. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old woman, was issued a citation by police but has not been arrested.

According to the police, the person at fault has not been determined and the crash remains under investigation.

School of Rock was Clark’s only acting credit. Despite his lack of acting experience, Clark scored the role of the mouthy boy drummer courtesy of his ability to play drums.

After his work on the movie, he turned his sights on music, drumming in bands like Dreadwolf and Robbie Gould. His latest project, Jessie Bess and the Intentions, played their first live show on Saturday.

Clark reunited with School of Rock co-star Jack Black backstage during a Tenacious D concert in Chicago back in 2018, where he gifted black a Dreadwolf shirt.

Years prior, Jack Black got the whole crew back together to perform a cover of ‘Long Way To The Top’ celebrate the 10th anniversary of School of Rock.
