Kevin Smith — the man who brought you Chasing Amy, Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and a bunch of other juvenile/hilarious classics — is recovering after suffering what he deemed “a massive heart attack” following a live show in California last night. Smith claims he was hours from death.
“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack”, he wrote on Twitter, posting the above photo of himself in a hospital bed.
“The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!”
We’re glad to hear he is doing fine.
