On first glance, KFC’s newest menu addition certainly looks like a popcorn chicken combo on steroids, but it’s actually a very revolting combination of cinnamon coated donuts chucked together with a bunch of their signature salty chips.

KFC have gone absolutely wild lately dropping some crazy creations on their secret menu and their latest addition, the $3.95 ‘Kentucky Fried Donut Go Bucket’, is no exception. For just a few bucks you can get a cupboard box with some donuts and chips shoveled in. Keep in mind, there is no division in the box, the deep friend snacks are all smooshed in there together, sharing their opposing seasonings.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Kristi Woolrych, chief marketing officer at KFC Australia, said: ‘We’ve come to learn that it never takes long for our fans to discover our secrets.

“So, it’s no surprise they’ve already uncovered our latest creation, the Donut Go Bucket, on the Secret Menu.

“We know our fans love our classic Go Buckets, but this time the Colonel has had some fun by switching out the Popcorn Chicken with our limited edition Kentucky Fried Donuts. Along with our crispy Chips, this might well be the perfect combo.”

While Woolrych may need to double check the definition of perfect, it’s not the first time we’ve seen donuts on the menu for the chicken juggernaut. The fried balls of goodness popped up on their menu recently and are available in two sizes, regular, for $4.95, or large, for $7.95. And, they’re absolutely delicious. On their own.

Followers on social media are here for the new addition of donuts to the KFC menu, but, understandably, they’re not so sure about the combination of donuts and chips together – and honestly, who can blame them?

“ummmm….dessert and chips? no thanks! lol,” posted one user.

Unfortunately – or perhaps fortunately, if you will – the Kentucky fried donuts aren’t available nationwide. Tasmania and Western Australia are the lucky states which won’t have to cast their eyes upon the combination of hell during their next KFC haul. The donuts are currently available in Vic, NSW, SA, QLD, ACT and NT.

We’ve all got that friend who dunks their Maccas chips in ice cream and odds are, the same weird friend will be gobbling up the sweet balls of cinnamon while also chowing down on a mouthful of salty chips. Live and let live… I guess.
