Making a “super gay” TV show about hunting for ghosts with Kristen Stewart may sound like a wonderful fever dream, but it’s about to become a reality for some lucky people.

The actress took to social media to announce an open casting call for her new paranormal reality TV series, which she’ll executive-produce. “I am scarily excited to announce that I’m teaming up with Scout, the producers of Queer Eye, Legendary and The Hype, on the most gayest, most funnest, most titillating queer ghost-hunting show ever,” she happily declared in the video shared by her friend CJ Romero on Instagram.

Stewart and co. are seeking out “LGBTQ+ ghost hunters, paranormal specialists, mediums, psychics, investigators who will lead the pack on this super gay ghost-hunting adventure.”

The questionnaire is surprisingly long. Questions include “How did you get into the paranormal space?” and “What is the SCARIEST place you have ever investigated?” It ends by asking applicants to submit a recording explaining why they’re “THE most FABULOUS paranormal expert around!”

Stewart first revealed her plans for the intriguing series last year in an interview with The New Yorker, describing it as “a paranormal romp in the queer space.”

At the same time she’s been working on a fun “super gay” paranormal project, Stewart’s been starring in David Cronenberg’s much more serious body horror film Crimes of the Future, which premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Talk about range.

She’s also shortly set to make her directorial feature film debut with an adaptation of The Chronology of Water, the writer Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir.
