The upcoming Tiger King series has added another detail to its lineup, with the announcement that none other than Kyle MacLachlan has joined its cast.
MacLachlan has signed onto the cast to play the role of Carole Baskin’s husband, Harold Baskin.
Other cast members have also been appointed, with Kate McKinnon to play the role of Carole Baskin in the series, while John Cameron Mitchell is set to star as the ringleader of it all: Joe Exotic.
As per the Netflix original series, it was clear that (Harold) Baskin was (Carole) Baskin’s righthand man. He however wasn’t Baskin’s first husband, with her first husband, Don Lewis disappearing in 1997, with the case still remaining open today. At the moment no charges linked to the case have been made.
As per Deadline, the show which is yet to be titled is focused on Carole Baskin and it follows Joe Exotic’s attempts to out Baskin for her ‘hypocrisy’ which comes as a result of them both profiting off their exotic jungle cats.
Baskin, who has a checkered past of her own also attempts to shut down Exotic’s escapades. But this of course results in a dangerous level of rivalry and competition.
Recently, Baskin launched her own cryptocurrency called $cat. On launching the crypto, she said “I’m investigating cryptocurrencies because I am concerned about the volume of US dollars that are being printed and distributed with nothing to back them up.”

“Our new $CAT coin is not a currency for investment but rather is a purr-ency of our fans to show their love for the cats,” she continued.
For now more details from the upcoming show are still yet to be released, however we know that it will be based on the Wondery podcast.
