Kyle Sandilands has torn his long time co-host Jackie O to shreds during their radio segment this morning, telling her, “do the show by yourself”.
The explosive feud took place just minutes into the Kyle and Jackie O Show when Jackie O and newsreader Brooklyn Ross shared the news that former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian once allegedly called Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison a “horrible, horrible person” in a text message.
Sandilands seemingly found the news of little importance, saying: “This is the biggest news in Australia, and it’s all over nothing. So what if the ex-Premier called the prime minister a horrible, horrible person? I’ve called everyone here an effing c in text messages. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gladys was just pacifying whatever loser Minister she was talking to,” Sandilands retorted.
“This is not real news. Don’t make up fictitious bullshit drama over nothing.”
Both Jackie O and Ross disagreed with Sandilands, saying that the story is important, which is when Sandilands started to kick off.
He added: “I’m angry. This is the way the world has been ruined – by dickheads on the news turning these things into bullshit moments.”
“Can I tell you why we care?” asked Ross.
“Yeah, because you’re all fuckin’ lazy loser journalists and you all type the same shit,” Sandilands fired back.
The trio continued to discuss whether or not the story was important, and Sandilands anger amped up during the conversation.
“You just show how dumb you all are, you idiots. You’re being followed around by cockheads,” Sandilands said to Jackie O and Ross.
After Ross tried to explain why he thought the story was important again, Sandilands snapped.
Just turn your mic off, cockhead. You’re finished. Get out!” Sandilands told Ross, who didn’t reply.
“Are you serious?” Jackie O replied to her co-host.”I don’t understand.”
“You don’t have to understand, what you need to do is listen instead of coming up with arguments all the time,” Sandilands shot at Jackie O.
He added: “I’m going home, Fuck you. Do the show by yourself, what a fucking show it’ll be,” before storming out of the studio at around 6:15am.
Ross seemed to assure fans that there was no bad blood between him and Sandilands. “I love him so much … I just wish he didn’t get so worked up,” the news presenter said.
“OK, I think we’ll take a short break, because I’m not even sure what happened,” Jackie O said, before continuing to do the rest of the show by herself. At 9am she touched on addressed Sandilands’s absence for listeners who may have missed his tantrum.
“You may have noticed Kyle’s not here today… it all escalated for some reason, and it ended in Kyle walking out,” she said.
“We hope Kyle’s OK… he’ll be back tomorrow.”
