At the beginning of March we were given some of the best news of the year: Lady Gaga and Adam Driver are together starring in an upcoming film: House of Gucci.
The news broke with a photo of the pair being posted online, with both actors fully clad in Gucci kits on the set of the film. While the photo of the pair broke our collective minds, we have only been left wanting more.
At the moment, the film is still in the process of production, but luckily we aren’t being left high and dry in the mean time. Every now and then, photos from the set surface online, revealing that Gaga and Driver are doing an excellent job of transporting us back to one of the heydays in Italian fashion houses, that being the ’90s.
And boy do we have some very iconic looks being sported by Gaga straight from the streets of Italy – Rome and Milan to be exact.
The upcoming film is set to depict the true story that is the downfall of the Gucci family empire – the assassination of Maurizio Gucci and the subsequent downfall of the Gucci family’s empire.
As per Variety, Adam Driver is set to portray the role of Maurizio Gucci, the former head of Gucci fashion and grandson of Guccio Gucci, while Gaga will bring to life, Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucci’s ex-wife.
To go into further detail about the the movie, Variety has reported that it’s a dramatisation of the events surrounding the assassination of Maurizio, as well as the trials that followed, where Patrizia was charged with her husband’s murder in 1995.
