Laura Byrne took home the final rose on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor in 2017, and the couple has since gotten engaged and share two children. However, Laura has revealed that she actually had a fling with another The Bachelorette star before meeting her fiance.

Laura went into detail about the fling on her Life Uncut podcast this week, revealing that she and the former contestant would “have some great sex”.

“The best friends with benefits that I ever had is a guy who I dated many years ago,” she told co-host Brittany Hockley. “I dated a guy who was on The Bachelorette.”

“I used to call him my “Wednesday night guy”. It was never a weekend relationship,” she added.

“It was never good enough to be a Friday night or a Saturday night. We both just knew, on a Wednesday, we’d go and get sushi, we’d have some great sex, we’d have a great time, I’d have a sleepover, I’d get up in the morning and I’d go to work.”

Laura revealed that she and The Bachelorette star continued their tryst for about six months, but she wouldn’t disclose his name.

Matty J is one of the most popular leads to ever come out of The Bachelor Australia. He took over the helm after becoming a fan favourite during his appearance on Georgia Love’s season of The Bachelorette, where he placed runner up.

The happy couple got engaged during a trip to Fiji in April 2018 and share daughters Marlie-Mae, 2, and Lola, 1, together.

Just yesterday, Laura spoke about her sex life in detail on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, telling the hosts that Matty would only perform oral sex on her if she was freshly showered.

“He’s very adamant that it has to be, you have to have just gotten out of the shower or it’s a no-go zone.”

“I know everything’s fine [with my genitals]. I feel like it’s just a way to get out of it… because realistically when you have two kids, and you’re tired and you can’t be bothered,” she added.

“So if there’s any more limiting factors, I feel like he knows that then I’m just going to be like, ‘Oh well, whatever, don’t worry about it’.”
