Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art is bringing the innovative Light Showto Australia for the first time, following record numbers that attended exhibits in London and Auckland last year.

Spanning works that experiment with light as a sculptural medium from the 1960s until now, the show boasts an impressive roster of luminaries in the field. From highlights that include the 19, 600 LEDs in Leo Villareal’s stunning cylinder (pictured) to the neon works ofFrançois Morellet, it promises to be an enlightening experience.

The Light Show is at the MCA fromThursday, 16 April 2015 until Sunday July 5, details available online.
