Not your standard kind of bowl, the Standard Bowl opens shop soon, offering free ten-pins and throwing a free three-night music bender to celebrate.

As you may have heard, or read about, and possibly peed your pants in excitement (that’s okay, it’s a normal reaction), The Standard is set to become a live music venue, bar and bowling alley all rolled into one.

The new bowlarama-fied Standard launches with three-nights of live music starting Thursday April 3, and the lineup for week one has just been announced.

Wolf & Cub and Greta Mob kick off the party on Thursday; followed by Palms and DJ set by Bris Springsteen (AKA Jeremy Neale) on Friday; with Jenny Broke The Window and King Colour wrapping things up on Saturday.

And yes, all of it is for free – the entry, the music, the bowls. So it’d be silly not to head along The Standard (Bowl)either on Thursday April 3, Friday April 4 and/or Saturday April 5.
