Underground psychedelic club night Velvet Cave has teamed up with touring and events company Mosaic to present a musical journey throughorganic northwest grease, hyperdelic, rock’n’roll, ’60s psych, post-punk, new wave, dance, Kraut and industrial tunes.

Taking over the Chippendale Hotel on Saturday December 19, Lo Fi//Sci-Fi will feature Melbourne band New War, playing their first Sydney show in three years, after taking time out to write the follow-up to their widely acclaimed debut album.

Also featuring on the lineup will be fellow Melburnian Miles Brown who is best known as the leader of horror synth heavyweightsThe Night Terrors, plus UK/Sydney-based two-piece Au.Ra and DCM – the experimentalcollaboration between Sydney artistsDaniel Stricker(Midnight Juggernauts/Siberia Records) andChris Ross(ex-Wolfmother).

The entire Chippendale Hotel will be transformed into a pulsating, futuristic and distorted galaxy over two stages.
