A certain quirky and beloved variant from the Disney+ MCU series Loki has just scored their own solo series.
Many variants of the God of Mischief were debuted in the character’s Disney+ series Loki both fun and serious ranging from Thor Loki to Hulk Loki. Out of all the tricksters we have seen so far, Marvel has chosen Alligator Loki to get their very own comic run. The mischievous alligator variant is getting their own twelve-part Marvel comic series, which is being written by Alyssa Wong and drawn by Robert Quinn.
Marvel made the announcement that Alligator Loki will receive the twelve-issue run in the Infinity Comics format on Marvel Unlimited. The first issue, Alligator Loki #1, is already out and available to read. Future issues in the series will be released every other Friday.
The plot description for the series gives a quick peak at what we can expect from the character and the overall show, “For his entire life, Thor has only known one brother, Loki. Known to all as conniving, sneaky, and cunning! But a new Loki is ready to take his place. He may be smaller, he may be cuter, and… an alligator?! But don’t be deceived, Alligator Loki has all the same attributes as his human counterpart and is ready to get into some trouble!”
The first issue begins with a scene comic readers have seen a thousand times— the God of Mischief and the God of Thunder duking it out on the Bifrost in what appears to be a conflict between brothers. Laufeyson quickly steals away through one of his portals before Alligator Loki is spat back out onto Thor. The two instantly become friends and proceed to go to an Asgard-themed amusement park where they share some wholesome moments together.
Rather than have all talking characters around a non-speaking protagonist, the comic decided to become silent and go for a more light-hearted feel overall.
You can read new issues of Alligator Loki every other Friday
