Haven’t figured out what to do on the Labor Day Long Weekend? Interested in spending it with stand-up comedians Tom Ballard, Michael Workman, Mel Buttle and Patrick Cross? If you said yes, pen Saturday October 5 in your diary, folks, because these professional joke tellers are headed to The Independent Theatre on the North Shore to bring the LOLs.
And this bunch certainly has cred in the biz – Ballard was the youngest ever recipient of Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer award in 2009, Workman won the Adelaide Fringe Best Comedy award last year, Buttle’s been described as “gifted of rare talent” by The Age and Cross’ been gigging the NY stand-up scene in comedy joints like the Comedy Cellar.
