Love Island star Maddy has finally addressed rumours about hooking-up with this fellow islander outside the villa.

Love Island star Maddy Gilbanks has finally addressed the rumour that she hooked-up with fellow islander Andre Coutinho outside the villa. As Gilbanks claims, it never happened.

Speaking to So Dramatic! shortly after being eliminated from the show, Gilbanks clarified that she and Coutinho are definitely not dating. “That is so false! I don’t understand where these rumours came from,” she said.

Maddy and Andre – who was eliminated earlier – sparked dating rumours after pictures showed them holding hands while strolling in Perth last weekend. In her chat with So Dramatic! Gilbanks confirmed that while the pair did go out, there’s nothing romantic between the two.

“Okay, so yes, we went out and had a Sunday sesh. But we were not together. We weren’t holding hands. But we did jump into my car to go and get some Hungry Jacks at the end of the night but I drove him back so he could get his car and then we went home our separate ways.” she specified, tacking on a neat dig at Callum Hole.

“We did speak to a lot of people so I think that obviously, somebody’s just gotten the wrong idea, or is just being a bit of a Callum [Hole] and stirring the pot.” she said.

Just to drive the point home, Gilbanks stressed that she didn’t see any ‘potential’ for a romantic relationship between her and Andre: “But yeah, no, we’re not together. I mean, he’s a lovely guy, don’t get me wrong. But I definitely don’t think of us as having any potential for anything romantic there. We’re just good friends.”

Earlier this week, a source told So Dramatic! that Maddy and Andre were ‘definitely dating’, adding: “They said they would have suited each other in the villa because they are a bit more mature than most of the others.”
