Love Island hasn’t even started and the drama and scandals are already kicking off. One of the Islanders, Conor Howard, dated Costeen Hatzi – who is currently in a relationship with tennis’ bad boy, Nick Kyrgios.

Conor told 9Now that he dated Costeen for a year, and she has been with Kyrigos since December 2021.

“She had a romance with me,” Conor told the publication. “I wouldn’t say [it ended] on good terms, but not bad terms.”

I broke up with her… it just wasn’t working out, and that’s what was shaky about three, four months before we ended last year.”

He joked: “I wasn’t a good enough tennis player, to be honest with you…”

Conor told the publication that he saw Costeen’s new romance coming, but said it was “a bit funny” seeing his ex-girlfriend’s name splashed across headlines.

However, Conor said that he going on Love Island to carve out a name for himself, and doesn’t care what his ex-girlfriend thinks about thinks going on the show. “If I can be completely honest with you, I couldn’t care less what she thinks,” he said. Adding; “I’m not here for her, that’s for sure.”

“Not that it ended badly,” he reiterated. “But. it definitely showed me what I want in a person and what I don’t want in a person, and how I should be with someone else and things like that. It taught me a lot of lessons.”

“Since then, I’ve just been single, happy and ready to mingle. I’m not going in there with any type of plan. I think I’ve just got to play it by ear.”

Love Island season 4 premieres tonight at 6pm, exclusively on 9Now.
