Love Island star Al Perkins has revealed he was there when his ex Jess hooked up with their co-star Jordan after filming had wrapped.

Al and Jess were partnered up on the show shortly after he arrived as a bombshell, and stayed together until they were dumped from the villa just before the finale. However, while they left Love Island together, they broke up shortly after.

It was recently revealed that Jess hooked up with their co-star Jordan after the show had finished filming. And now, Al has told The Brag that he was actually there when they hooked up.

“I was actually there when it happened. So we were all at a house party and we were all just sort of dancing, you know, on the dance floor and then Jess and Jordan started hooking up in front of me.

However, despite the potential awkwardness of the situation, Al said that he wasn’t upset that Jordan and Jess hooked up.

“I’m all for it because we aren’t together or anything. So yeah, all for it. I told them as long as they’re happy, I’m happy.”

It was actually Love Island winners Claudia and Austen who initially let the secret slip about Jordan and Jess hooking up to the media.

During an appearance on Matt and Anna’s podcast Where’s Your Head At podcast this week, Austen was asked who from the show has “couple swapped”.

Without hesitation, the 2022 Love Island winner responded  “The only person that I’ve seen is Jess and Jordan.”

Austen’s girlfriend, and Love Island partner, Claudia’s shocked face was proof enough that he had dropped a bomb that wasn’t meant to be shared.

“We’re not supposed to say that!” She told her boyfriend.

Austen simply replied, “Oh, aren’t we? I didn’t realise.”

A video of the exchange was shared on the podcast’s Instagram page and Jess cheekily commented, “My back hurts from getting thrown under the bus.”

Al is currently gearing up for the release of his new, original Nova podcast with Taku Chimwaza from Love Island season three, called Back To Reality. The first episode drops tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18th, and subsequent episodes will drop weekly on Wednesdays. It will be available on the Nova player, on Spotify, on Apple Music and all leading podcast streaming programs.
