Philip Stallard will translate his emotions into colour on canvas in his upcoming exhibition, Lush, showing at Stanley Street Gallery.
From falling in love to aching and loss,Lush will create abstraction through a balance between space and gesture in the works.As Stallard puts it, “I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve so for this show I’m unashamedly open to what comes on the spur of the moment.” Expressing himself primarily through oil paintings, Stallard’s work recalls memories of the Hawkesbury River.
Lush will open in full colour on Thursday July 10 and continue through to Saturday August 2 at Stanley Street Gallery in Darlinghurst.
