Macca’s is celebrating the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup as only it knows how – by releasing limited edition sauces.

Macca’s is dropping four new Chicken McNuggets sauces featuring flavours inspired by the Women’s World Cup. The new sauces – dubbed ‘Sauces Around the World’ – will take the McNuggets dipping experience to a whole new level.

The first two sauces will be available in Macca’s restaurants across Australia from today, while stocks last. The remaining two flavours will then be unveiled in August.

First up is the Wasabi Flavoured Mayo, featuring smooth and creamy mayo with a kick of natural wasabi to make the mouth tingle.

And there’s also Outback BBQ, which previously featured on Macca’s burgers. The peppery BBQ creation is ideal for dipping McNuggets.

You can also try the new sauces via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery from today, while the sauces are also available at the Macca’s pop-up Fries restaurant, located within the FIFA Fan Festival at Tumbling Park in Darling Harbour, Sydney (available there from Thursday, July 20th).

Macca’s isn’t the only fast food chain getting in on the Women’s World Cup fun. Earlier this week, Pizza Hut announced that it was giving away free pizzas in Australia for every goal scored.

From the first kick off on Thursday until the final whistle in the final, the fast food chain will be rewarding football fans with 200 free pizzas for every single goal scored at the tournament throughout July and August. And if an Australian player scores, Aussies can enjoy the thrill of victory with 600 free pizzas – triple the prizes.

If you fancy some free pizza, all you have to do is head to pizza hut.com.au/pizzasforgoals each day of the tournament at 4pm AEST.

As one of the host nations – alongside New Zealand – and with the aforementioned Kerr in firing form, Australia come into the tournament as one of the favourites.

However, the US have won the past two World Cups, and will feel confident about their chances of making it a historic third consecutive win this year. In fact, as per BBC, the Americans are the favourites to win the whole thing according to Gracenote’s forecasting methodology.

Gracenote uses data from the FIFA women’s world rankings to estimate the results of every match, and ran approximately one million simulations of the entire tournament. The simulations declared that the US would repeat their 2015 and 2019 triumphs, although they’re not overwhelming favourites.
