Macca’s is about to get a little fancier this Thursday with the debut of not one but two new boujee desserts.

Sydney-based TikToker Adrian Widjonarko (@adrianwidjy) broke the delicious news, revealing that two limited-edition desserts would be available at select Macca’s stores in Australia from Thursday, February 17th onwards.

That means hungry fans get to take their pick between the debuting duo: there’s a crème brûlée pie, a take on the classic apple pie but instead with gooey custard and caramel fillings; and there’s a McFlurry with little crème brûlée pie pieces sprinkled throughout the usual soft serve (with a lovely helping of caramel sauce on top).

It would be rude to just try one of those, wouldn’t it? Honestly, though, they really should have released this earlier in the week for Valentine’s Day instead of those romantic Chicken McNuggets.

It’s not clear how lucky Adrian got his hands on the new desserts before everyone else but fair play for doing so. He told news.com.au about the difficulty of choosing which one was his favourite.

“With the two desserts I prefer the pie itself because I am just a huge fan of the pie,” he said. “However in saying that, the McFlurry has extra caramel on top of the broken pies, so that’s a great addition of flavour to my McFlurry. Definitely eat it slowly to avoid burning your mouth like I did, because I was too eager!”

Exactly what select Macca’s stores the desserts will be available at hasn’t been detailed yet, although Adrian got his at his local Macca’s in Haberfield in Sydney West. So it might be worth popping by your local Golden Arches come Thursday to see if you smell delicious crème brûlée wafting out the doors.

What flight of fancy will Macca’s have next? A pulled pork burger with kumara fries happy meal? A McFlurry with actual gold flakes atop it?
