There have been multiple whispers that Survivor’s Sophie Cachia’s split with her fiance Maddie Garrick was not amicable, and was due to cheating on Maddie’s behalf.
Maddie and Sophie went public with their relationship in 2021 and got engaged in March of this year. Earlier this year, Maddie moved to Florence, Italy, for a work opportunity with Polisportiva A.Galli Basket and the two transitioned into a long-distance relationship. However, Sophie announced their split on Instagram earlier this week.
Now, a source has told SoDramatic! that Maddie was cheating on Sophie in Italy, and the latter found out by going through her phone.
“Just listened to this morning’s [Tuesday, October 25] podcast and can confirm Sophie’s sister KJ [Austin] is telling people Maddie cheated on her,” the insider said. “She found out by checking through her phone when they were in Italy.”
A second person collaborated on the infidelity on the Influencer forum Tattle.life.
“Sophie turned up anyway and immediately got wind that something was up,” they said. “They all went out to a team dinner, and Maddie was extremely uncomfortable because she was also sleeping with someone on the team.”
“Just had dinner with a friend who works for basketball Australia who gave me the scoop,” the user wrote on the forum.

They continued, “Sophie was extremely controlling and very unhappy when Maddi moved overseas. Calling and texting
24/7 which her coach and teammates did not appreciate. Sophie told Maddie she was coming over and Maddie said please don’t, we are in the middle of training etc. Sophie said she is coming anyway.
“Sophie turned up anyway and immediately got wind that something was up. They all went out to a team dinner and Maddie was extremely uncomfortable because she was also sleeping with someone on the team. Sophie picked up the vibe and later that night went through Maddis phone and found proof. Maddi apparently “wanted to be caught” and said that Sophie was extremely emotionally abusive. Cheating was her way out of the relationship.”
Last week, Sophie announced the split in an emotional Instagram story.
“It is with sadness and a great deal of pain that I have unfortunately made the decision to end my relationship,” she wrote.
The statement continued, “When I proposed, I did it with the guarantee of loyalty, trust, honesty & respect from my end. Despite the great deal of love I still hold, I have made this decision to lead by example for what I know I deserve in life for myself, and for my children – because we are all worthy.
“While I am hurting, life must go on. I still have to show up for work with my businesses and most importantly be a mum and role model to my two children.
“This is unfortunately a position I really didn’t want to be in. Therefore, I beg you, please let me be, to protect my children, my mental health and allow us all to heal and move forward. I will not be commenting any further,” she concluded.
