Days after claiming that he and Jess Losurdo were good friends, MAFS’ Al seems to be directing some shade at her on social media.

It was only days ago that MAFS and Love Island Australia star Al Perkins claimed that he and fellow Love Island flame Jess Losurdo were good friends. So imagine fans’ confusion when Perkins was seen dropping some very thinly veiled snipes against Losurdo on social media, leading some to believe that all wasn’t as peachy as they would have liked everyone to believe.

Posting a picture of the couple together, Perkins said: “In Spain without the S.” In another post, he said: “Smiling through the pain.” Yet another was captioned with the words: “I stress less without Jess.” Ouch.

Other captions and comments also took similarly subtle digs at Losurdo, claiming that he was already looking for his ‘next option’ and that he’d entered the villa looking for a ‘ten but I’m leaving with a tan.’

While this seemed like the epitome of ‘tell me you’re bitter without telling me you’re bitter’ to some, Perkins clarified to So Dramatic! that it was all a joke, adding that Losurdo had been in on it the whole time.

“Me and Jess have a laugh about it all the time. It’s just inside bants,” he clarified.

Phew. Glad that’s out of the way, otherwise it would have made Perkins’ previous comments supremely awkward. Speaking to So Dramatic! earlier this week, Perkins claimed that while he and Losurdo had tried to give their relationship a fair shot outside of the villa, they’d ultimately decided to be friends

“We still FaceTime every second day and things like that. I’m really grateful to have her in my life and for the journey we went on. But we just happen to be friends at the moment.” he said.

Losurdo, however, left fans on a more hopeful note. In addition to agreeing that the pair are friends, she also added that they’re ‘seeing where it goes.’
