When it was announced that MAFS star Al Perkins was entering the Love Island villa as an islander, reality TV fans had their fingers crossed that the popular personality would finally find love.

After all, he was one of the most loved contestants on season nine of MAFS and boasts a whopping 276K followers on Instagram. However, So Dramatic! owner Megan Pusetto has claimed that insiders told her that Al doesn’t last long in the villa.

Furthermore, an unnamed source went on the publication’s podcast and said that she saw the upcoming Islander out and about at a nightclub mingling with “random girls”.

“Spotted Al at Electric Ladyland in Melbourne tonight,” the source wrote in a message to the show. “No photos because I didn’t want to be a weirdo.”

They added, “There was a random girl at the bar with bad extensions yelling questions at him about Dom and Ella. Definitely single vibes.

“He was just drinking and hanging out with random girls so kind of gives away the Love Island ending.”

In a recent interview with Channel 9, Perkins who didn’t manage to find love with his on-screen wife Samantha Moitzi on Married at First Sight, has said that he has faith that he’ll find ‘the one’ on Love Island Australia.

“I do believe Love Island is the right show to find love. There have been successful couples that have come out in love in the past,” he said.

He added, “I’m most excited to test myself to see if I can fall in love with someone,” Al said.

The former carpenter also took to his Instagram to officially announce his debut on the popular dating show. “This divorcee is heading in to the Villa! Wonder how a Spanish shoey will taste? Don’t miss @loveislandau next week on [9Now],” he captioned an official Love Island photo of himself.
