Throughout season nine of MAFS, Selina has constantly questioned whether her on-screen husband Cody was really that into her. However, her worries were put to rest with Cody finally confessing his love for the 32-year-old during the final vows ceremony.
Well, that’s what viewers thought. An on-set source has told So Dramatic podcast that the couple stayed together until the reunion dinner party and Cody dumped her straight after filming wrapped for the night.
“Cody and Selina attend the reunion together,” a source told the podcast.
They added, “But then Cody dumped Selina after the reunion Dinner Party at 5 am in the morning or something. Literally straight after the dinner party. It’s fucked up!”
The reunion dinner party is set to be the second last episode for the season and is followed up with a final catch up with the experts.
By the time filming for the catch up rolled around, Selina and Cody’s relationship was done – and the couple had to explain this to the entire group, as well as John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Alessandra Rampolla.
“She [Selina] was lost for words, really,” the source shared. “No one knew about it until they got on the couch. She didn’t tell anyone before.”

“Then when they left, they never really spoke again. Just a few messages here and there,” they said. “The night after filming wrapped, they all went to a bar in Sydney and Selina was so upset she didn’t want Cody to show up. It was super awkward for everyone.”
While the couple reportedly ended their relationship after the reunion dinner party, the same source shared that the couple dated for a short amount of time between the finals vows and their break up.
“They caught up a few times after filming,” the source said. “They then did the whole long-distance thing for a few weeks after the final vows – she’s in Adelaide, he’s in Sydney.”
“They did have genuine and real feelings – well Selina did anyway – who knows about Cody – but it was very complicated.”
