Controversial MAFS star Daniel Holmes has revealed that he is friends with one of the current contestants on Love Island Australia.

Daniel told So Dramatic! that he and Callum are friends, and have been for years. He told the publication that he met Callum through the “gym scene” and said he gave the Islander some advice before he went on the show.

“We just talk in general,” he admitted. “I said, ‘Producers don’t have your best interest, so be careful.

“‘But it’s not edited like MAFS, so you’re all good’.”

Callum was linked with Layla throughout the current season of Love Island. However, he was picked by bombshell Vakoo in a recent episode which meant that Layla was dumped from the island. Since Layla’s dumping, Callum has recoupled with Maddy and Vakoo was eliminated from Love Island last night.

Many viewers were shocked by Callum’s playboy antics, despite Layla being fully committed to him.

“We definitely had something worth fighting for,” she told So Dramatic! following her elimination. “Look, we’re filmed 24/7, so not much of our real relationship was even aired.”

“Watching it back, I actually knew everything [that happened between Callum and the bombs],” she admitted. “He told me everything, like, we had so many conversations about it and stuff, so I wasn’t surprised.

“They don’t show everything. They don’t have enough time on TV to show [everything]. So, from an audience point of view, I totally see why they think I’m being a pushover. I actually agree with them.

“But there’s more to the story.”
