A fiery anti-vax post by MAFS groom Daniel Holmes has been uncovered this week.
Reality TV gossip account The Wash shared a now deleted Facebook post by the star in which read, “they’ll have to tie me down before I get vaccinated”.
The post, which formerly appeared on the reality star’s fitness account, continued, “Not because I don’t believe in it, but because they’re taking away my freedoms if I don’t. It’s the oldest rule in the book of sales. Get the prospect saying yes and they’re easier to convert.”

However, it seems that Holmes quickly reneged on his passionate stance, as the show’s production company Endemol Shine required all participants to be vaccinated to take part in the show. Holme’s posted the strongly worded opinion on social media just a month before entering the TV experiment.

All of the participants on MAFS are required to be fully vaccinated, undergo mandatory Covid tests every 48 hours and wear masks when the camera crew isn’t filming them.
The Wash posted screenshots of the Facebook post, highlighting that it was published on September 25th last year. The comments section has been flooded with comments condemning Holme’s original post.
“I’ve lost a bit of respect for him after reading this. That mentality is so ridiculous and childish – “I’m not getting it because they’re making me get it”. It’s a pandemic. Grow up,” said one user.
Another user commented, “I think younger people are struggling with these ‘mandates’ but there have always been vaccine mandates. And always will be. Depending on your industry.. and you cannot send your children to child care or schools if they haven’t kept up with their routine vaccines. It’s the first time a lot of his generation will have come across it. The “they can’t tell me what to do” attitude might just be because it hasn’t been experienced by him personally before but he will likely grow and learn.”
Daniel Holmes is an intruder on MAFS and is the latest groom to join the experiment. He married his on-screen “wife” Jessica Seracino on Tuesday’s episode of the show.
