MAFS fan favourite Dom has been accused of racism after an old video emerged of her that appears to show her mocking a Chinese accent.

Gossip publication So Dramatic! reported that a video that showed Domenica imitating a Chinese accent was uploaded to her YouTube account years ago. In the damning video, Domenica discusses the Christmas decorations at her grandma’s house before making the offensive reference.

“So this is what Christmas decorations are in my Italian grandmother’s house… alongside The Last Supper,” Domenica allegedly said, before adding; “and, that cute Santa from the Asian store… five dollaaaaaaar.”

Many social media users have voiced that they found the “five dollaaaaaaar” comment offensive, and labelled it as racist as it appears that Dom is mocking an Asian accent.

Ironically, Dom, who is of Italian heritage, was very upset during her season of MAFS when her voice was criticised.

Midway through the season, Dom got into a heated fight with her co-star Olivia who criticised her accent. “That’s just the way I speak! That’s the way I talk! That’s my voice!” Dom responded.

She added: “So my voice isn’t okay?”

Dom then said in a producer-led interview: “Is she fucking serious? No, no, no, no, no, my entire fucking life I’ve been told my voice is not good enough!”

Domenica was paired with Jack on season nine of MAFS, and, while the couple was very popular with viewers, they split shortly after the show wrapped filming.

Jack has since gone on to find love with fellow reality star, Courtney Stubbs who appeared on Love Island Australia 2021.

Speculation of a potential relationship between Jack and Dom began in early July when Jack shared photos of the couple skiing in Perisher, NSW together.

The couple then officially confirmed their romance three weeks later when both reality stars posted a series of adorable pics together.
