MAFS fans were left shocked this week when Claire admitted to Jesse that she had previously kissed fellow groom Adam on a night out with the cast.

At the beginning of the series, a handful of the MAFS stars went out for a night on the town, and Jesse grew suspicious that something was going on between his ‘bride’ Claire and fellow groom Adam. At a commitment ceremony another bride Lyndall told the group that she heard Adam and Claire discussing a kiss, however, both parties denied anything ever happened.

Then, in Monday’s episode, Claire admitted to another bride that she did actually kiss Adam on that fateful night, and then came clean to Jesse.

Jesse was understandingly upset, as was Janelle, and the two participants came together to support each other. Many fans wanted Janelle and Jesse to get together in retaliation for their partner’s affair, and Kyle and Jackie O asked Jesse whether there was potential for that to happen during a segment this morning. And, Jesse said that he and Janelle talked about the possibility of hooking up.

“Both Janelle and I talked about [whether] that thought came through our heads but both of us said, ‘No’,” he told listeners.

“The experiment is about being with the person you were matched with and although I just mentioned how I’ve just gone through this rough piece of news, we still wanted to honour the experiment.

“If we had gone, ‘Let’s just do a wife swap’, or something like that, it just didn’t feel right.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jesse admitted that the kiss between Adam and Claire made him realised how much he actually liked her.

“If it wasn’t for the kiss, I wouldn’t have noticed how much I liked Claire. It was my reaction that gave me the message that I wouldn’t react to this way if I didn’t like her,” he told the hosts.
