Martha Kalifatidis has publicly announced her baby’s due date and revealed that she just decided that she wants to have a caesarean birth.
The reality star popped into the Kyle and Jackie O show this morning to give an update on her pregnancy journey, and finally reveal what date she is scheduled to give birth.
“We’re due the 28th of Feb,” she told the hosts this morning.
When Kyle asked if Martha was planning on having a vaginal birth or c-section, she confirmed that she had only decided yesterday.
“You know what? I literally woke up yesterday, Kyle, and I announced to everyone, I said, ‘I’m having a caesarean’,” she told the host.
She added, “I dunno if I’ve got it in me to do it [vaginal birth]. You’re like, just get this thing out. Let’s just make it snappy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Martha told Kyle and temporary host Brittany that she and her fiance Michael already know their baby’s gender.

“We haven’t announced what we’re having yet,” Martha said. “Michael and I opened the envelope, but we really wanna like share it with our family of course.”
She added, “The weather in Melbourne has been so shocking. We wanted to have like a little picnic or something. We’ve just been waiting for some sunshine.”
Martha has been suffering hyperemesis gravidarum throughout her pregnancy, which is essentially very severe morning sickness and involves symptoms like chronic nausea, vomiting, dizziness and electrolyte disturbance.
Martha told the hosts that she has recently started to feel a little better. “I’ve finally had some relief now in like the sixth and the seven months. I’m starting to feel a little bit better,” she said.
The reality star told Kyle and Brittany that she is on medication for the condition and that she’s experienced severe weight loss, but the baby is still healthy.
“You come to a point where you just don’t vomit like you don’t have anything left to vomit, and then there’s medication that you take and it stops the vomiting,” she explained.
“But the nausea is relentless. And then you have to deal with like dehydration and stuff like that. It’s really disgusting
“There’s no eating, there’s no drinking. There’s like, you don’t wanna put anything in your mouth
“It’s funny because like they say, hyperemesis gravidarum babies are really healthy and they actually are quite big because the baby just takes everything from the mother.”
