MAFS star Melinda Wills has called out Harrison Boon for shaming her for having cosmetic work done to her face.

In a recent episode, Bronte and Harrison were talking about their fellow contestants, and Harrison pointed out Melinda’s ‘surgeries’.

“She is so image-driven. That’s all she cares about, it’s so obvious,” said Boon. “From surgeries to how she presents to who she is as a person.”

Melinda told Refinery 29 that she hasn’t had aesthetic surgical procedures, but has had botox as well as lip and cheek fillers, and didn’t agree with Harrison’s perspective.

“When someone like Harrison says that about women, it’s very degrading and it just says more about him,” Melinda told the publication.

She added, “Sometimes you feel a certain way and you want to bring it to the outside to represent your personality and who you are,” she explains. “So, I don’t see the shame in that, and I definitely don’t want to be someone that hides from that or lies about it.”

Melinda said that she was particularly offended that Bronte, who she considered a friend, laughed and agreed with her TV husband.

“The disappointing part was that another female was sitting on the couch laughing with him and agreeing,” she says, “and that’s what I don’t agree with.”
“To this day, she’s sending nice messages and being a friend,” Melinda added. “I was honestly just so shocked.”

Bronte is partnered with CEO Layton on the current season of MAFS. While the couple has been relatively strong throughout the season, that changed in recent episodes when the experts introduced a ‘couple-swap’ task. John Aiken called the task “feedback week” and it saw the remaining participants switch partners for three days.

During that time the reality stars were encouraged to critique their relationships and share advice with one another.Layton and were asked to swap with their arch nemeses, Bronte and Harrison. While Melinda agreed to live with Harrison, Layton said that his morals didn’t align with the task, and refused to live with Bronte. The choice has seen Melinda and Layton fighting over their choices about how to handle the task and led to a very tense session on the couch at last night’s MAFS commitment ceremony.

However, newly released photos show Layton picking Melinda up from the airport with a bunch of flowers and the two reality stars sharing a kiss, indicating that they’ve since overcome their obstacles and are happily together.
