Within just a 24 hour period, former MAFS couple Olivia and Jackson have both separately spilled the beans about why they decided to break up.
Olivia and Jackson were paired up on the popular Channel 9 reality show. Throughout the season the couple went from strength to strength, they left the final vows together and continued dating after the show.
However, after ten months of dating the reality stars shared a joint statement on Instagram announcing their split earlier this month.
Now, both Jackson Olivia have shed a little more light on the reason behind their breakup.
During an appearance on the Where’s Your Head At? podcast with hosts and former Love Island stars Anna McEvoy and Matt Zukowski, Anna asked Jackson if he was enjoying being by himself.
“How’s it going? How’s single life?” She said. Jackson replied, “Just been enjoying me-time, to be honest.”
Not content with Jackson’s blasé answer, Matt pushed Jackson for more details. “You guys finished MAFS together. You guys seemed pretty happy. What happened?” He asked.

“Look, to be honest, we just grew apart. Um, there’s nothing more to it,” Jackson coyly replied.
Matt continued to encourage Jackson to open up, but he stay tight-lipped. “That’s it. That’s literally all I’ve got!” Jackson said.
Matt took a thinly veiled jab, saying: “[Jackson] knows better than to say [anything]”, before moving onto another topic.
Just a day after Jackson spoke about his relationship with Olivia on the podcast, his ex-girlfriend took to her Instagram stories to share her own side.
“We split amicably,” she wrote in an Instagram story over a photo of her and Jackson. The caption continued, “I understand people like to think that I got “dumped” but it wasn’t like that at all.
“We’re adults. We had an adult conversation about how the relationship wasn’t working for either of us and we both came to the resolution that splitting up was the only thing left to do.
‘There’s no ‘”juicy” story. There’s no truth to the “haha he dumped you” comments people say. It was a peaceful, joint decision.”
