It’s been revealed that one of this year’s MAFS grooms has already gotten back with his ex-girlfriend – while his scenes are still playing out with his TV wife on screens around Australia.

Last night’s episode of MAFS saw Shannon Adams confess to his TV wife Caitlin McConville that he is still in love with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Jamea Drake.
In last night’s episode, Caitlin found Shannon in tears after a phone call and asked him if he was talking to his ex. After Shannon confirmed that he was, he confessed that he still had feelings for her.
Now, Daily Mail Australia has reported that Shannon is back with Caitlin. The publication reported that “the pair kept in touch during filming last year and once he was back in his hometown of Cairns in December, they decided to give their relationship another go.”
A friend close to the couple told the publication that Shannon and Jamea are “happy” to be back together.
“They were together for about seven years… it was very on and off, but they are happy now,” the friend said.

They added, “I think Shannon tried to get over Jamea by going on MAFS, but he had second thoughts as soon as he married Caitlin.
“He was upset after the wedding and wanted out right away.”
“Shan and Jamea kept in contact for the sake of [their daughter] Milli and he would try to Facetime her every day,” the source added.
“He had planned to put in one hundred per cent into his relationship with Caitlin, but just couldn’t because he was still invested in Jamea,” the source concluded.
