Tamara, who emerged as one of the biggest villains of this year’s season of MAFS, has made an extremely racist remark about Italian Australian entertainment journalist Megan Pustetto, calling her a “fucking salami cunt”.
Pustetto hosts the popular reality TV podcast and entertainment website So Dramatic!, which has been closely following the dramas surrounding the participants on season nine of MAFS.
In today’s episode of her podcast, Pustetto revealed that she “copped a barrage of phone calls from drunk Tamara and friends on Saturday night, as well as two abusive voicemails”.
The podcaster explained that Tamara was out with co-stars Kate, Jess and Carolina in Melbourne when she received three missed calls from a private number at around 5pm, and then another five calls from a private number at 8pm. Pustetto said she didn’t answer the calls and then received two voice mails.
“Megan you fucking salami cunt answer your phone. What are you scared of a private number for, you dickhead?” Tamara can be heard screaming in the first voicemail that Pustetto played.
Pustetto has previously shared that she is Italian, and listeners have taken Tamara’s ‘salami’ comment as a racist remark. In the podcast, the journalist confirmed the racial slur.
“She couldn’t attack my career, so I guess she went for ethnicity instead. This is just so insensitive and downright disgusting to say to anyone.” She said, adding: “Tamara, do you think you’re better than me because you’re like, a full blooded Aussie?”

The entertainment journalist went on to play the second voicemail, which was just as bad – though much harder to understand.
“Megan how do you sleep at night. Honestly living like a troll on social media at other people’s lives. Like I honestly do not understand,” Tamara begins in the second voicemail.
Tamara goes on to ask fellow MAFS participants Kate, Jess and Carolina whether they agree, to which they concur.
“We all agree, there’s a few of us here at the table and we just don’t understand how someone like you can [inaudible] so much. You must be sad hey?”
Tamara then adds, “You fucking loser, honestly”. Carolina can then be heard sarcastically chiming in, “can we please be on your podcast,” before all the women erupted into laughter.
