It’s been just a couple of months since a lot of people on the internet started to worry for the welfare of Cara Delevingne.
After the model’s chaotic behaviour had sparked concern, Margot Robbie being snapped leaving her home appearing to be very emotional didn’t help matters. The paparazzi pictures seemingly showed the Australian actress crying, but Robbie has now denied that was ever the case.
“I had something in my eye,” she claimed in her new Vanity Fairy cover story. “I’m trying to grab my face mask, trying to hold a coffee cup, and I couldn’t get a hair outta my eye.”
Looking back at the paparazzi pictures after Robbie’s comment, she does have a point. The Barbie star also added that she was “not at Cara’s house” when the pictures were taken, but instead was “outside an Airbnb that (she) was renting for five days.”
According to Robbie, when her mum called to ask whether she and Delevingne were doing ok, she replied, “yes and yes.”
Robbie and Delevingne became close friends after working on Suicide Squad together back in 2016.
Robbie has been having a torrid time with intrusive paparazzi as of late. Just last month, while on holiday in Argentina with Delevingne, a photographer accused the pair of trying to attack him.

And earlier this year, Margot Robbie called the viral pictures of herself and Ryan Gosling in their Barbie outfits “the most humiliating moment of my life.”
Elsewhere in the Vanity Fair cover story, Robbie opened up about her childhood in Queensland, where she was raised by her single mum alongside her three siblings.
“I grew up in a very loud, busy house, and so I feel safe and comfortable when there is just chaos around me,” she explained. “I think it’s why I love movie sets.”
