It’s a great day for Aussies with the news that McDonald’s is bringing back a beloved nugget item and popular burger to Australia.

The fast food chain has announced that they are re-releasing their McSpicy range today – which includes spicy McNuggets Cheese and Bacon McSpicy burger and the Double McSpicy burger. The regular McSpicy burger was released in April of this year.

“What better way to welcome spring than by turning up the heat with Macca’s signature, succulent spicy chicken,” McDonald’s group brand manager Lancy Huynh said in a statement.

“Made with 100 per cent Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken, the new range adds an extra kick to classic, much-loved Macca’s menu items.

“Perfect for lunch or dinner, these bold, unique flavours will no doubt get customers’ tastebuds tingling.”

While the McSpicy is a permanent menu fixture, the other items will only be available for a limited time and are available now.

In August, the company announced that they’d released their popular burger called the Quarter Pounder with bacon, as well as another variation of the burger – the Quarter Pounder Deluxe.

“Macca’s is committed to offering great quality, great tasting food to our customers,” Tim Kenward, marketing director of McDonald’s Australia said of the new additions at the time.

“The Quarter Pounder is one of our most iconic menu items and much loved for its delicious flavour combinations and ingredients.

“We are excited to give Quarter Pounder fans even more variety with the addition of the new Quarter Pounder Deluxe and Quarter Pounder with Bacon.

“From crispy bacon to fresh lettuce and tomato, there’s something for everyone in this range.”
