Melbourne’s fabulous restaurant and cafe scene has flourished into an undeniable source of happiness for all.

Whether it’s a cafe, a restaurant, a bar, or some sort of hybrid in between, our city’s venues provide the perfect places to celebrate, to unwind, to indulge and to just be.

But unfortunately, the pandemic and state-wide lockdowns have thrown a spanner in that works, meaning that it’s been all too long since we were able to venture out to our favourite haunts.

A bunch of Melbourne’s finest have proved that not only do they know a thing or two about food and coffee, they’ve also got an eye of style. Check out a range of Melbourne’s very best restaurant and cafe merch below.

Coe & Coe

Inspired by the tongue in cheek ethos that is Coe & Coe, these guys released a collection of caps, tees and long sleeves adorned with the phrase, “Miss you already”. The collection is dedicated to all Melburnians, because in some way, shape or form, we’re all missing something right now. If you miss them too, you know what to do.

These guys made it absolutely clear that Melbourne is deep within a sandwich renaissance. And if you love their work, you can rep their goods which include a staple range of baseball caps, tote bags, tees and stack mugs.

Nico’s

Deli sandwich connoisseurs, Nico’s took the city by storm when they launched their fresh-daily sandwich operation last year. And to ensure they keep us coming back for more, they’ve introduced a duo of ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ soccer jerseys in addition to their tees.

Maker Coffee

Not only do they make a fine brew, Maker Coffee have an elegant selection of merch to match, featuring caps, tees and matching tote bags. Oh and for those who are keen to get a bit fancy, there’s a silver-plated cupping spoon too.

1800-LASAGNE

Ain’t nothing wrong with a cheeky bootleg and the guys at 1800-Lasagne know that all too well. Paying homage to the legendary New Balance sneakers with their ‘Do You Even Sport’ collection, they’ve served up a matching tracksuit set and tee.

If that’s not your plate of pasta, they’ve also got original 1800-Lasagne branded garments too.

St Ali’s

Nothing short of an institution, merch at St Ali’s doesn’t fall short either. Featuring an extensive range that will take you from the coffee shop to a picnic and everywhere in between, they’ve got crewnecks, bike shorts, friendship bracelets, picnic bags, stickers and more. Feels good.

Coffee Supreme

Aussie coffee roasting legends, Coffee Supreme have the perfect mugs to get you feeling like you’re sitting at the diner sipping on a damn fine mug of coffee.

Chotto Motto

One of Melbourne’s cutest and finest Japanese haunts, Chotto Motto also sling some pretty delectable merch too over at their Chotto Mart.

Hector’s Deli

At their Richmond post, Hector’s Deli were slinging sandwiches well before the renaissance. And they’re not going anywhere either. Right now their humble range of merch is sadly all sold out, but here’s hoping they drop some soon.

WORKTONES x Lauren Martin

Not exactly restaurant or cafe merch, but this range was far too iconic to leave out. A special collaboration by WORKTONES (who provide next level aprons and the like to many of our fave locations) and illustrator Lauren Martin have delivered a collection that’s insisting that we drink Aperol spritz out of their mug. See for yourself.
