During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Mike Tyson opened up about his recent altercation with a fan on a plane, admitting that he wasn’t having his best day when he ran into said fan.
Said altercation refers to an incident in April, where Tyson got into a fight with an ‘aggressive’ fan on a JetBlue flight. A video of the incident showed Tyson hitting another man in the seat behind him.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat,” a representative for Tyson had said in a statement.
During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tyson dove further into the incident, claiming that he wasn’t having his best day when the fan started needling him.
“Hey listen, I’m usually good at these things,” he clarified, emphasising that he was aware he was in the wrong.

While Tyson chalked it up to having a bad day, he’s stated previously that the fan indeed was harassing him. On an episode of the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast in May, Tyson claimed that the fan continued to approach him despite having taken pictures with him and being told to leave him be.
“He was fucking with me, man. I took pictures with this *****.” he said.
“I shouldn’t even be taking public planes,” he added “My wife gets mad that I take public planes but what am I gonna do on a fucking plane with my friends?” he said at the time.
While Tyson was removed from the plane at the time, he was not hit with any charges due to ‘circumstances surrounding the confrontation.’
