If you were fanging to indulge in a cheeky Nando’s without a side-serving of guilty conscious, I have got some news for you. The peri-peri chicken lords are introducing an all-new plant-based range for all you herbivores with a penchant for fast food.

Nando’s have unveiled four new menu additions that are sure to satiate your most cheeky cravings. They’ve unveiled their “Great Pretender” protein — heralded as the “PERi-PERichicken taste that’s plant-based”. You’ll be able to add the protein to whatever burger, wrap, pita, salad or paella your heart desires.

If fake-meat does sinful things to your stomach, fear not, Nando’s has unleashed a Superfood Veggie Patty. Like the “Great Pretender” you’ll be able to add this morsel of deliciousness to whatever you want. Comprised of a heavenly combo of quinoa, lentils, black beans, kale and chia seeds — you just know that this patty will incite a really satisfying shit.

If burgers aren’t your thing, Nando’s have introduced a “Power Up Bowl”. Like any health bowl you’d fork out $18 for at a Surry Hills cafe, it features a mix of fresh avo, black rice, roasted red capsicum, cherry tomatoes, mixed leaves, seed sprinkle and smoky tomato chilli dressing.

Finally, for all those whose New Years resolutions was to give up hot chips, Nando’s are now doing PERi-PERi grilled brocollini. Gorgeous tender stalks of the GOAT vegetable, flame-grilled and dusted with PERi-PERi salt? a dream.
