Natural Confectionary Co. — the archbishop of sweets— have announced their vegan market debut with new Vegan Fruity Jellies.

I think for the most part, once you surpass the age of innocence, sweets become intolerable. The exception to the rule is the godly, divine, Natural Confectionary Co. creations. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about their lollies that possess a chic, mature energy. All I know is that I don’t feel the kind of pathetic regression invoked by chowing down on a Starburst fruit gummy.

Until now, the company had not a vegan treat under the belt. Most of their gluttonous gobs of goodness contained gelatin — which, as well all know, is derived from a sexy blend of boiled skin, tendons, bones and ligaments.

Thankfully, Natural Confectionary Co. has heard our silent tears. These new fruit gummies, boasting a spectrum of flavours like apple, blackcurrant, peach, pineapple and raspberry will all be totally cruelty-free. Not am artificial colour, flavour or hint of gelatin in sight.

“We couldn’t ignore the requests from Aussies asking for a Vegan-friendly option,” shares Lauren Fildes, the marketing director for The Natural Confectionery Co. Australia. “We believe all lolly lovers deserve to enjoy The Natural Confectionery Co.’s delicious jellies, so we’re proud to be able to offer Australians a sensational new product that doesn’t compromise on taste.”

Vegan Fruity Flavoured Jellies will be available in Coles and independent retailers from mid-August and Woolworths mid-September. These bad boys will set you back a cool $4 per 200g pack.
