A day after posting a cryptic clip to Twitter, Netflix has confirmed that season two of Wednesday has been given the green light.
The Addams Family revival, directed by Tim Burton, has proven to be a smash hit, with the gothic series crossing 1 billion hours viewed on Netflix in December alone.
FYI — only Squid Game and Stranger Things Season 4 have achieved the same milestone to date.
After fans began to panic as to why the streaming giant was taking so long to renew the hugely popular series, our worries were assuaged when Netflix posted a message to YouTube confirming a new season was coming.
“Over the past few weeks, I’ve been hunted, haunted and mimicked millions of times across the internet,” Wednesday says, referencing her viral dance which had made waves on TikTok.
“It’s been pure torture. Thank you,” she adds before a message on the screen reads: “More misery is coming”.

It comes following Netflix’s tweet on Friday, which seemed to hint at the show’s forthcoming second season.
In the short clip, Wednesday Addams – played by Jenna Ortega – is seen writing ‘The End’ on her typewriter before adding a question mark and flashing a smile.
With the show now set to officially return, along with Ortega, fans can expect to once again see Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, and Emma Myers as Enid.
