To celebrate World Refugee Day, the inaugural New Beginnings: Refugee Arts and Culture Festivalwill showcase the cultural expressions and heritage of refugee and asylum seeker communities.

The free one-day celebration willfeaturemusic and dance performances, visual arts exhibits, workshops, and a short film screening. Delicious food and market stalls will also be available to give everyone a taste of the diverse cultures on show.

Through a vibrant program, the New Beginnings Festical encourages people from all communities to unite for a shared cultural experience. Everything featured in the program is run bythe refugees and people living in our community, while they await the processing of their claim for asylum.
