In this new clip from The Batman, we get another look at Robert Pattinson playing Bruce Wayne opposite his trusted butler.
The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, is quickly approaching and with its approach, we are getting more and more snippets of the movie to build up anticipation among fans. The newest clip from the upcoming film features an inside look at the Batcave, Bruce Wayne, and Alfred.
While the background is mostly out of focus throughout the clip, various monitors and screens can be seen. The monitor behind Alfred appears to show a Gotham news network with a news anchor talking.
While they’re out of focus the two monitors behind Bruce appear to be much more advanced. One of them looks to have some sort of CT scan images of a human brain, perhaps of Bruce’s own mind or the mind of one of the movie’s many villains, such as Riddler’s? The other screen, to the right of the first, appears to have some sort of repeated image on it, possibly a face or a geometric pattern? It’s hard to tell with the focal length of the lens from the shot.
What the two companions are discussing appears to be a very different matter— the legacy of Bruce’s family. Alfred seems to have Wayne Enterprise’s financial needs in mind while Bruce appears to be hyper-focused on something Batman-related. From what can be gathered through this clip’s dialogue it would appear that the Wayne’s fortunes have been dwindling due to neglect from Bruce in the pursuit of another goal.
Bruce’s words reject Alfred’s notion that wealth is the legacy of his family, in hopes of creating something he views as greater.
