Nick Cannon has reportedly proposed to his partner just days after he said that he would get back with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
“I guess because I’m a true romantic, I’m a true believer in love and I allow the capsules of love to be where they lie. I’m not a timeline dude,” Cannon said on “The Hottee Talk Show Podcast” on Tuesday. “I will never have a love like I had with Mariah.”
He added, “It was literally like a fairytale with Mariah so I would rather it just be that way.”
“I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, I’d be like, ‘Damn, I messed it up. But, if I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I’m there.”
Cannon and Carey were married from 2008 to 2016 and share 11-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.
The ‘Masked Singer’ is dating American model Bre Tiesi and the couple announced that they are expecting a child together in January this year.
An hour ago, Cannon shared a photo on Instagram of him and Tiesi accompanied by a ring emoji, sugesting the pair have gotten engaged.
“I said I would never do it again but…Finally doing what the world wants me to do… 💍,” he captioned the pic.

Fans in the comment section are already pointing out the rapper’s recent comments about Carey.
“I thought you wanted Mariah back lol,” wrote one follower.
“Is this Mariah?” Another asked.
However, some fans are sceptical about the photo, asking if the post is a way of promoting a new movie or music video.
“Must be a movie,” one wrote, with another adding: “Nah this gotta be music video.”
Cannon has only been married once, which was to Carey, but he fathers eight children with four different women, with his ninth baby on the way with Tiesi.
