While Nicolas Cage was talking about superheroes and The Batman, the 58-year-old actor revealed which Batman villain he wants to portray.

In a brief interview at SXSW, Nicolas Cage opened up over his excitement for the new The Batman movie and what he could bring to future stories in terms of character. The proposed villain he is pitching to Warner Bros and The Batman‘s team is Egghead, who made their first appearance in the ’60s Adam West Batman TV series.

The character was originally played by Vincent Price, who is best known for their work on films such as The Ten CommandmentsThe Fly, and House of Wax. In the ’60s series, Egghead is campy just as many of the characters are. Beyond that, they are known for their brain over their physical stature.

Out of anyone, Nicolas Cage would be a great actor to bring the character to life depending on the route the filmmakers want to go. Although, this is currently all speculation based on conjectures from Nicolas Cage in a brief interview. There has been no response from Warner Bros or anyone who worked on The Batman as of yet. That being said, it’s still fun to think about the possibilities and what could come from the Con Air actor as now we know that it’s on his mind.

“I like… oh, here’s something, I’ve been thinking about this, because we have this new, Robert Pattinson as the Batman, which I haven’t seen it yet, but I think he would be terrific, the villain that Vincent Price played on the ’60s show, Egghead,” Cage shared at SXSW while talking about superheroes. “I think I want to have a go at Egghead. I think I could make him absolutely terrifying. And I have a concept for Egghead. So let them know over at Warner Bros. I’m down for Egghead.”
