With the release of his sophomore EPCapsize, Alex Martin announces an all-star launch that will showcase the best talent the Steel City has to offer.
The folk-punk stylings of Newcastle’s young singer-songwriter have so far garnered attention from some prominent names, landing him opening slots for the likes of Tiger Can Smile, Eye Drops and Dark Matters to name a few.
The second EP from Martin, set for release later this month, features a more developed sense of storytelling and songwriting and is a platform for punk influences intertwined with Martin’s own character.
The EP launch of this up-and-coming artist looks to be a night of great music celebrating local talent. Highlights in the lineup include Brayden ‘Boots’ Porter of Touchy Third Uncle, who will captivate audiences with his unique voice and intricate guitar work, whilst vocalist Benjamin ‘Diz’ Loutitt of post-hardcore band Safe Hands, will perform a rare acoustic set of original works.
Road trip it up to Newy for the EP launch at theHamilton Hotel, Wednesday February 10.
