Okay, we don’t know what we did to deserve this, but today your coffee is on the house…

ONA Coffee’s Melbourne location is slinging free oat milk lattes all day today, as announced via their the Instagram, ’cause today it’s “Freeday”. They wrote, “Today it’s Freeday – Free Oat Day @ona.melbourne together with @minorfigures We are sharing our blends with Oat Milk. All dine-in or takeaway (preferably in a reusable cup) will be on us.”

ONA Coffee accounts manager Hany Ezzat says, “Oat milk is the future of alternative milk coffee. Not only does it have less impact on the environment, it’s cooperation with coffee is seamless. It adds texture meanwhile keeping the characteristics and structure of coffee intact.”

So if you’re a serial oat latte drinker, or, you’ve been meaning to cross over to the dark (oat) side but are yet to take the plunge, it looks like if you’re in Melbourne, today is the day!

ONA Coffee was founded in 2008 by Saša Šestić, with the goal being to create great coffee, and share it with as many people as possible. They said, “As we have grown and changed over the years, we have found new ways to share flavour and connect communities across the world.”

“Via the ethical trading company, Project Origin, we source the highest quality green beans produced in the most sustainable ways possible, deal directly with producers and empower communities all across the world.”

Right now they have a total of five venues across Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, with their Melbourne digs having opened up in June of last year (a mid-pandemic miracle). And it’s seriously one of the nicest and lushest coffee haunts in Melbs.

At any given time, ONA have an extensive range of blends for you to choose from, meaning that your options are seemingly endless. And not only is the fit-out amazing and the coffee (obviously), the food menu is awesome too. You’re welcome.
